We are in China

We have been in Shanghai for about three days now. We have been entering the new world slowly, like tip-toeing into the cold ocean. After another afternoon on the town today we will take an overnight train to Beijing, where we will spend a few days. From here we will head west then south, on a combination of trains and buses and through everything from cities, villages, mountains, plains, sun, and snow. Pictures and more blog about Shanghai and the rest to come soon.

I'm really interested to hear more about this part of the trip. I imagine it's good you had a warm-up travel period before things get really nutty.

One of my friends who went on a surfing trip of the world had a pilot in China bail out of a plane filled with people and goats in mid-flight. Hopefully, nothing that memorable happens for you all.

If you see anybody with a cart full of cats cleaning up for the Olympics you have my permission to beat them as near to death as you like (the people, let the cats go).

Also ask them if we can have our economy back.

Have fun!

I received the flowers :) Thanks! They are so beautiful :) I can't believe that you picked them in China! lol that was hilarious!

Hope that you both are having the times of your lives. I hope that the Easter Bunny can find you to leave a little treat! hehe

Miss you both!

Hugs,
